Aaron Rodgers continues to be linked to trade rumors and speculation despite not committing to playing football in 2023. If he does decide that he wants to play next season, there is widespread belief that the Green Bay Packers will trade the future Hall of Fame quarterback and make Jordan Love their starter. For the last few weeks, and especially in recent days, the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders have been the two teams considered by sportsbooks to be the favorites of acquiring Rodgers. However, PointsBet Sportsbook’s most recent odds-tracker had one team shoot up the list of favorites to acquire the four-time NFL MVP.
A New Team Enters the Mix for Aaron Rodgers

As mentioned earlier, the Jets and the Raiders are the two teams considered to be favorites for Aaron Rodgers if the Packers decide to trade him. The Jets currently have the best odds (+150) while the Raiders have the second-best odds (+450).
Following those two teams are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700) and San Francisco 49ers (+750). After them, though, comes a new team to the top-five: the Tennessee Titans. Prior to this week, the Titans had +1200 odds of landing Aaron Rodgers. Now, the sportsbook gives them the fifth best odds of landing Rodgers with +800 odds.
Why Would the Odds for Aaron Rodgers Change So Much in Tennessee’s Favor?

If anything, one would have thought that the San Francisco 49ers’ odds would have fallen given Rodgers’ comments at the Pebble Beach Pro Am. At the event, he was heard saying “I’m not going to San Fran.” This, however, has not stopped trade speculation to the 49ers from occurring.
The Jets, Raiders, and Buccaneers all make sense in their own ways. The Jets have Nathaniel Hackett as the offensive coordinator now and are reportedly willing to go “all out” to get Aaron Rodgers. The Raiders, of course, have Davante Adams who has been hitting social media hard in an attempt to recruit Rodgers to Las Vegas. Finally, the Bucs recently saw their quarterback, Tom Brady, retire (again) from the NFL.
The big question, though, is why have Tennessee’s odds improved so much? Their quarterback situation is rather stable with Ryan Tannehill under center. Now, their new general manager, Ryan Carthon, may want a reset at the quarterback position after Tannehill’s performance has dipped in recent seasons. However, no news or rumors have recently surfaced indicating that such a move is close to happening.
