Aaron Rodgers talked about his injury Tuesday
The Green Bay Packers were unsure about Aaron Rodgers’ status on Monday. The Packers quarterback suffered a rib injury on Sunday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles. The injury added to Rodgers’ pain as he was already playing with a broken thumb.
Rodgers addressed the injuries during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Rodgers said he plans to play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
“I got good news with the scans yesterday, so I plan on playing this week.”

That’s good news for the Packers. Rodgers has owned the Packers’ NFC North rival over his career. Rodgers is 23-5 against the Bears. Rodgers has said he wants to play this season as long as the Packers’ playoff chances are alive. They will need to beat the Bears and hope for some help to keep in the playoff hunt. The Packers have a two percent chance to make the playoffs after losing to the Eagles.
It appears Jordan Love will need to wait a little while before he gets a chance to start for the Packers. Love did well when he replaced Rodgers in the second half, as he nearly brought the team back to tie the game. However, the Packers’ defense couldn’t get a stop. Many fans wanted Love to start after his performance against the Eagles.
