Aaron Rodgers is set to begin his four-day trek into darkness in an attempt to gain clarity on what he wants to do in 2023. His uncertainty, though, has not stopped trade rumors from swirling. Today, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the New York Jets have officially reached out to the Green Bay Packers to inquire about possibly trading for the four-time MVP.
The New York #Jets have inquired about Aaron Rodgers’ availability with the Green Bay #Packers, per sources. A move that was expected as New York explores veteran options.

Rodgers’ name has been linked to the Jets for weeks now, ever since the Packers lost in Week 18 to the Detroit Lions.
The New York Jets Need Aaron Rodgers
Many around the NFL believe that the Jets are just a quality quarterback away from being serious contenders in the AFC. This year, they had both the Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year in Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson. Breece Hall, their rookie running back in 2022, also is a dynamic weapon in the backfield that can help take pressure off of the quarterback.
The owner of the Jets, Woody Johnson, has already stated that he is willing to trade a king’s ransom to get Rodgers. Additionally, New York hired Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator. If there was any team that were to trade for the future Hall of Famer, New York just might be the one.
