Pittsburgh Steelers have been heavily linked with Aaron Rodgers but up to this day, the partnership is yet to be finalized, leaving some former players of the team impatient.

The Green Bay Packers legend is just coming off yet another failed season with the New York Jets and recent reports revealed that it was a bitter separation between him and the NY team.
Minnesota Vikings is another team being linked to the four-time MVP.
When will Steelers or the rest of the NFL hear from him about his new team? An NFL analyst advised him to remain mum until he gets a hold of the OTA schedule.
“The point for now is simple. Rodgers has yet to sign. With OTAs not starting until May 27 and with the schedule coming on May 14, why not wait two more weeks?” Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio said.

This suggestion is meant to take Rodgers away from big games which he failed to deliver for for the Jets last season. If he announces that he is a Steeler before that, his team might get additional prime-time games, – Thursday Night to Sunday Night nightmare scenarios – which means tougher schedule for him.
What Steelers official thinks of Aaron Rodgers
Steelers President Art Rooney expressed confidence last week in the NFL draft that Rodgers will sign with them.
“He does want to come here so I do think we may get word soon,” he said as quoted by Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com.

So why the silence? It seems Rodgers is considering the advise by Florio above.
Steelers correspondent Mark Kaboly earlier suggested through the Pat McAfee show that the one-time Super Bowl winner should wait for the OTA fixtures.
“I assume you mean Pittsburgh when you say ‘home.’ I am glad you are finally listening to what I’ve said for two months now (I forgive you). I say May 22, but definitely before OTAs start on May 27.”
