Aaron Rodgers is once again the talk of the town during the off-season. The likelihood of Rodgers actually being traded is up in the air. The Packers are reportedly open to exploring a trade involving the four-time MVP quarterback. March 8th, 2022 was the day that Aaron Rodgers signed his massive three-year $150 million extension. I would anticipate the same timeframe this year that we hear about Rodgers’ future in the NFL. If Aaron Rodgers is traded, there is a team that is skyrocketing up in the odds of obtaining him.
Tennessee Titans Skyrocket In Odds To Trade For Aaron Rodgers
PointsBet Sportsbook has a few teams as the favorites to be Rodgers’ new home if he does get traded. The Jets are +150, meaning an implied probability of 40.0 percent. The Raiders are +450, an implied probability of about 18.2 percent. The Titans made an unexpected big move recently. On Friday, the Tennessee Titans were +1200 – the sixth-shortest odds and a probability of 7.7 percent. By Saturday morning, the Titans had moved to +800, the fifth-shortest odds and a probability of 11.1 percent.
The Tennessee Titans have a new general manager in Ran Carthon. He may want to start over at quarterback. Tannehill led the NFL with a 117.5 passer rating in 2019 but slumped to 89.6 to 94.6 the last two seasons. If Tannehill isn’t good enough to get the job done and Carthon isn’t high on Malik Willis’ potential, would the Titans want to take a big swing? Lastly, Aaron Rodgers reportedly owns property near Nashville and was building a home there a couple of years ago. It could be a win-win scenario for both sides. Here is a list of the Titans’ 2023 Draft Picks:
- Round 1, Pick 11 overall
- Round 2, Pick 41 overall
- Round 3, Pick 72 overall
- Round 5, Pick 144 overall
- Round 6, Pick 172 overall
- Round 7, Pick 206 overall
