Aaron Rodgers has been the best quarterback in the league for a long, long time.  However, he certainly has been the best signal-caller for each of the last two seasons.  His back-to-back MVP awards are proof of that.  But anyone can have a great season.  What about the last two seasons makes him the best player in the game?  What about his last two seasons should make him the MVP favorite in 2022?

Start with his statistics.  They are absolutely ridiculous.  Rodgers has a combined 85 touchdown passes to just nine interceptions.  He has throwing for over 8,300 yards too.  In 2020, Rodgers totaled 51 total touchdowns and threw just five interceptions.  His passer rating that season came in at 121.5 that season, which is the best of all-time for a single season (Rodgers owns the record of 122.5, which he set in 2011).  In 2021, He threw 37 touchdowns to just four interceptions.

Even as he draws closer to age 40, Rodgers still showcases his all-time great talents year in and year out.  His arm strength and precise accuracy are in a league of their own.  Even before the last two seasons, Rodgers was still as efficient as ever.  He threw six combined interceptions in 2018 and 2019.  He has helped guide the Packers to three consecutive 13-win seasons and two first-round byes from 2019 to 2021.  No. 12 doesn’t turn the ball over.  He has one of the strongest arms in history.  He is a winner.  Also, the former CAL star is the most efficient thrower ever.  He deserves to be the MVP favorite in 2022 despite winning it each of the last few seasons.  Every season is different for each team and player, but Rodgers has stayed consistently great almost every season of his 18-year career.

Heading towards into this season, Rodgers is looking to produce without Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who are now in the AFC West.  Remember, Rodgers won two MVPs in 2011 and 2014 before Adams came along and became an All-Pro receiver.  He is going to have another fantastic season and will help his young receivers in Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Amari Rodgers become reliable options in the Packers offense.  This is going to be another MVP-like season for the 10-time Pro-Bowler.  He has never shown anything other than that in his illustrious career.
