Aaron Rodgers Named In Massive Trade To Reunite With Former Teammate

The Green Bay Packers are going to have some tough decisions to make this off-season.  With the way the 2022 NFL season has gone so far, it seems like nothing is off the table.  Trading Aaron Rodgers may seem crazy to some.  However, to others, it could make a ton of sense.  If Green Bay decides trading Aaron Rodgers is best for the franchise, one analyst says that reuniting him with Davante Adams could work for both sides.

Aaron Rodgers Potential Trade To Las Vegas Raiders?

Tom Downey from NFL Daily suggested a trade scenario that would send Aaron Rodgers out west to play with Davante Adams.

Aaron Rodgers was linked to Las Vegas last year.  This is not designed to be slander of (Derek) Carr.  He ain’t Aaron Rodgers though.  Raiders have the money to make it work, draft capital may not be as clutch as the Giants for example but do you think the Raiders beat the Bengals last year in the playoffs if they have Aaron Rodgers?  I do.

So what would a trade like this have to look like?  This is our proposed option:

    Las Vegas Raiders Receive:

    • QB Aaron Rodgers

    Green Bay Packers Receive:

    • 2023 First-Round Draft Pick
    • 2023 Third-Round Draft Pick
    • 2024 First-Round Draft Pick
    • 2024 Third-Round Draft Pick

There would have to be some serious salary cap hoops to jump through with Aaron Rodgers’ contract.  If this trade happened before June 1st, 2023, the Packers would have a $40M cap hit in 2023.  However, if it happened after June 1st, 2023, they would have a $15M cap hit in 2023 and a $24M cap hit in 2024.   A trade like this could set Green Bay up for the next phase of their franchise while giving Las Vegas a chance to win now.  Green Bay currently sits at 3-6 nine weeks into the 2022 NFL season.  If their season ends just as rough as it has begun, a trade could be imminent

THANK YOU! They have claimed that the Packers were trading for to receivers, help for Rodgers SINCE WEEK 1! NOTHING! I knew better because Green Bay’s front office is so weak when signing receivers, trading for receivers. I mean, come on, the Packers had multiple receivers OUT on injury. Good grief they went without Watkins, Watson, Cobb, and Alan Lazard and they still did NOTHING to help him. Why? They claim to want to win a Championship but they do NOTHING to make that happen.

Why the hell would the Raiders give that much up for Rodgers? Dudes going to quit after a year and has nothing left in the tank.

2 first rounders for a 39 year old qb no thank you .
I would give gb maybe 3 rd this year and a compensatory 6 th the next year. Aaron Roger’s has maybe 3 yrs left , you would Def not give up the future for a guy that may ,just maybe ,give you a single championship . Send him to the giants I like that scenario better . Mark Davis makes enough dumb decisions .raidernation dosent need to set themselves back 5 to 10 more years .

You failed to include where Derek Carr goes. He isn’t sitting the bench in Vegas, so is he traded in this scenario?

Trade him. He’s not doing the packers any good, especially since he’s not even trying. And he has a horrible attitude right now. Him, his attitude, and his ego should go somewhere really warm, and I don’t mean Miami or LA. His new head coach will have Horns.
