Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets had an unexpected meeting today. The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers may actually be on a crash course toward a breakup this off-season. Aaron Rodgers has not made a decision yet, or at least one that has been shared with the public. Regardless, trade rumors have swirled regarding his 2023 team all off-season. Now those trade rumors are certainly heating up after Aaron Rodgers has reportedly spoken with the New York Jets about a potential trade. Now, signs are reportedly pointing in one direction after the trade talks are over.
All Signs Pointing In One Direction After Aaron Rodgers Talks To New York Jets

Nothing is imminent between the Jets and Aaron Rodgers, but “everything is pointing in that direction” per @diannaESPN. The Jets’ Owner, Head Coach, General Manager and Offensive Coordinator all flew out to Rodgers to make their pitch
The Jets reportedly loaded an army of coaches, team executives and even team owner Woody Johnson on a private plane Tuesday and flew to California for a face-to-face meeting with Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers. If nothing else, the Jets have gone all-in, in every imaginable way, in pursuit of a four-time MVP quarterback they believe can make them an instant contender in the AFC.
The New York Jets have gone 12 years without making the playoffs (2010). It would seem they are doing everything they can to bring an end to that. However, Aaron Rodgers’ contract — he is owed $59 million during the 2023-24 season — is viewed as a roadblock. In order to off-set some of the massive cap hit the Jets would take, the Packers may be asked to eat some of his 2023 cap hit in the trade.
However, if that is the case, the draft compensation in the trade could heavily favor the Green Bay Packers. This situation is far from over and it will be interesting to see what kind of trade package, if any, the Jets offer for Aaron Rodgers.
