On Saturday night, Aaron Rodgers was named the NFL’s most valuable player for the third time in his career.  Rodgers joins Peyton Manning (five), Brett Favre, Jim Brown, Tom Brady, and Johnny Unitas as the only players to win three or more MVP awards.  After his MVP win was announced, Rodgers made a shocking announcement of his own:

Apparently Aaron Rodgers is engaged. He said in his acceptance speech that he got engaged this year and mentioned "my fiancé."

Earlier this week, it was revealed on social media that Rodgers has been dating actress Shailene Woodley.  While this was news to some, they have actually been dating for quite some time.  Some speculate that Rodgers and Danica Patrick broke up due to his interest in Woodley.

Shailene Woodley is a Golden Globe nominated actress who is famous for starring in the popular Divergent movies.  Additionally, Woodley starred in the critically acclaimed and Oscar-Winning film The Descendants.  Movie-goers may also recognize her as the star of the very popular Fault in Our Stars.

    Aaron Rodgers’ MVP Season

Aaron Rodgers received 44 of 50 possible votes in the MVP voting.  His landslide win comes after one of the best, if not THE best, seasons of his career.  Rodgers threw for 4.299 yards, 48 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.  He led the NFL in touchdowns, completion percentage (70.7%), quarterback rating (121.5), and QBR (84.3).  Additionally, Rodgers received a 95.1 grade from PFF, the highest grade given to a quarterback ever.
