Pittsburgh Steelers fans are waiting for Aaron Rodgers to confirm that he is signing with them. Or any officials who have knowledge of the news.

It might not arrive until the second week of May. The name they would hear might be something entirely different.
Rodgers holding out his decision might force the Steelers to turn to Kirk Cousins.
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer wrote:
If whatever Rodgers is working through was enough to press pause on his decision-making process, I can see where the Pittsburgh Steelers would tread lightly… The Steelers have signaled, and even publicly expressed, their confidence that Rodgers will wind up on their roster. And if he doesn’t, I’d imagine they’d explore a trade for Kirk Cousins. It’d be pretty surprising if they opened training camp with Mason Rudolph.
Cousins is currently tied with the Atlanta Falcons and is set to earn $45 million this season. The team are reportedly planning to make Michael Penix Jr. their QB1, something that Cousins would not allow to happen.

He reportedly said that he wants to remain as the number one quarterback for the team.
The Steelers are believed to be capable of paying his salary.
Steelers fans should hold their breath for Aaron Rodgers
Steelers officials have confidence Rodgers will sign with them. Right now, the Green Bay Packers legend is busier with activities not related to American football.
President Art Rooney said he is confident they will be able to forge a contract soon.

He is being advised to make confirmation about his 2025 team, believed to be Steelers, until the 2025-2026 season schedule is released.
“I assume you mean Pittsburgh when you say ‘home.’ I am glad you are finally listening to what I’ve said for two months now (I forgive you). I say May 22, but definitely before OTAs start on May 27,” Pat McAfee Show correspondent to Steelers Mark Kaboly said.
