Aaron Rodgers: Jets Legend Says Quarterback Would Hurt New York Locker Room If Traded

Aaron Rodgers seems to be the talk of the offseason. I suppose that makes sense, given the fact that he is a four-time MVP and could be switching teams for the first time in his career. If the rumors that the Green Bay Packers are “done” with Rodgers are true, they will seek to trade the future Hall of Famer and move on to Jordan Love.

For weeks, the New York Jets have been a team that has been linked to Rodgers, with their owner going as far as to say that he would gladly give up the draft picks Green Bay would ask for in return. One Jets legend, however, wants Rodgers as far away as possible from the young Jets players.

New York Jets Hall of Famer Joe Klecko Doesn’t Want Aaron Rodgers on the Team

In an interview with Zach Gleb of CBS Sports, Joe Klecko (a 2023 Hall of Fame inductee) was asked if he wanted the Jets (his former team) to trade for Aaron Rodgers. Klecko responded:

“No. No, I don’t. I don’t think Rodgers is a fit with the young guys. I relate them to myself and the young team we came up with when we started winning. It was a good fit with all of us because we all worked together and came up together.

“You don’t become the MVP three times without doing what he’s done. But he’s so condescending to his receivers—[Garrett] Wilson, who won offensive Rookie of the Year, I can’t see him coming back to the huddle and Rodgers lambasting him for running the wrong route. It’s not gonna fit. I don’t see it.”

Joe Klecko believes Aaron Rodgers could ruin the Jets locker room and doesn’t want to see the @NYJets trade for the star QB.
