Aaron Rodgers sustained what he called a “minor” calf injury last week during the New York Jets OTA practice. The Jets gave a disappointing update on Rodgers’ rehab after the quarterback’s busy weekend.
Rodgers said after the injury last week that the injury wasn’t severe and people needed to “relax” about OTAs. Rodgers thought he would be back to practice, if not last Wednesday, then for sure this week.
Aaron Rodgers injury update looks worse than last week
According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Rodgers has been rehabbing his calf recently. Rodgers will be limited in practice Wednesday, but they are “hoping” to have him as a full participant by Friday.

It looks like the injury was a little more serious than what Rodgers had led on, especially since he indicated he’s could practice last Wednesday.
The timing of the update comes just days after Rodgers was spotted taking in Taylor Swift’s concert at the MetLife Stadium. Rodgers was seen on video dancing at the show Saturday night. That’s an interesting activity for a quarterback who is supposed to be rehabbing his calf. Hopefully the moves during the concert didn’t cause a hiccup in Rodgers recovery for this week.
Green Bay Packers fans shouldn’t be too concerned about Rodgers health at this point in May. (The Packers need Rodgers to play 65 percent of his possible snaps to get a first-round draft pick.) It looks like Rodgers should be healthy by the end of this week.

Yawn…can we stop writing about Ernie Rogers now? I’ve heard enough on DA17 as well. Squeezing every ounce of imagined drama out of both Ernie and DA17. Ernie wanted a trade–he got one. DA17 was a cap casualty. Plain and simple. Can’t pay ’em all. Now we as fans need to thank them for their years of stellar play and watch the team play with the guys in the locker room. Next topic.
