The Packers’ losing streak continues. In a game they desperately needed, the Packers’ offense could only muster 9 points against the worse defense in the league. One big reason for the low-scoring output was the play of Aaron Rodgers. He had three interceptions with two of them coming in the endzone. After the game, Aaron Rodgers had a profanity-filled comment about his play.
Aaron Rodgers Has Profanity-Filled Comment About His Play
Aaron Rodgers: “I played shitty, but I never gave up.”
— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) November 6, 2022
Rodgers put it very plainly. “I played shi**y, but I never gave up.” Even with the profanity, this may be an understatement. One of the calling cards of Rodgers’ time in the league has been his low interception rate. The two interceptions in the endzone were especially back-breaking and all on Rodgers. He underthrew one of them badly and the other hit the linebacker in the face. This is not something that Packers fans are used to. If they lose, it is usually not because of Rodgers but this loss can absolutely be pinned on his poor play.
The Second Half Of The Comment Is Confusing
“But I never gave up.” Good for you? Gold star? I’m not sure what the point of adding that on was. It would be entirely out of character for Rodgers to just decide in the middle of a game to throw in the towel. I am not sure whether he is looking for praise for his perseverance amidst this losing streak or trying to make his performance seem better than it was. Whatever the reason, it is a really confusing addition to his comment.
At this point, the Packers are going to have to make a decision about their season. If his play is going to keep being this poor, the Packers should absolutely give Jordan Love a look at some point this season. The quarterback class is deep in 2023 and if the Packers have a top-10 pick, they could snag one of them. The season seems lost especially after you look at the next three games. One thing is for sure, Aaron Rodgers needs to step up his game.

I agree. Tank the season after the break. Put the ball in Jordon Love’s hands and let’s see what he can or cannot do. Then find Rogers’ replacement in the draft. One blown season isn’t going to kill us.
Wonder why LaFleure was playing on his Surface pad during the last play of the game?
