Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw his 10th interception of the season on Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams. In all honesty, 10 interceptions is not a lot for the typical NFL quarterback. However, Rodgers is no typical QB.
The last time Rodgers threw double-digit interceptions was all the way back in 2010, where he threw 11. Although, the Packers did win the Super Bowl that season, so nobody paid too close attention to the picks he threw. Now that Green Bay is struggling at 6-8, every interception is magnified.
Aaron Rodgers’ 10th Interception Snaps Impressive Streak
If you look at Rodgers’ two previous MVP seasons in 2020 and 2021, he threw 85 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. A truly incredible touchdown to interception ratio. In the history of the NFL, Rodgers has the lowest interception rate at 1.4 percent.
Aaron Rodgers has spoiled Packers fans during his 18-year career. That’s why this season has been so shocking. We are used to seeing Rodgers dominate the NFL. You can attribute his struggles to his broken thumb or simply not being on the same page with his young receiving corp.
Nevertheless, Rodgers will have to be at the top of his game for the remainder of this season. The Packers must win their final three games in order to have a shot at the playoffs. Green Bay’s next three games are against the Dolphins, Vikings and Lions, who have a combined record of 26-16. It won’t be easy for the Packers to win out, but as long as they have Aaron Rodgers, there’s always a chance.
