Aaron Rodgers Has a Message for Packers Fans

At this point, it’s off to the races for the Green Bay Packers. Sitting three games behind the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles for that top NFC seed, the Super Bowl isn’t looking promising. After some quality starts from this team, it seems that they’re going downhill.

In his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers expresses there shouldn’t be any panic despite a two-game losing streak.

“If you’re looking preseason at the NFC, four teams for sure in the conversation. San Fran, LA, Tampa, and us,” Rodgers said on Tuesday. “All four of us are 3-3. I don’t think there’s any panic at any of those four places.”

Those top teams are all sitting even at 3-3 as we enter Week 7, although both San Fran and Tampa sit atop their respective divisions. The Packers however, sit two games back of the Minnesota Vikings in the North.

The last three seasons for Green Bay have brought them NFC North titles, all three seasons where they would win 13 games each. If the season were to end today, the Packers wouldn’t even be in the playoffs conversation. With seven teams qualifying, the Packers currently rank eighth behind:

    -Philadelphia (NFC East): 6-0
    -Minnesota (NFC North): 5-1
    -Tampa Bay (NFC South): 3-3
    -San Francisco (NFC West): 3-3
    -NY Giants (NFC East): 5-1
    -Dallas (NFC East): 4-2
    -LA Rams (NFC West): 3-3

It’s definitely going to be an uphill battle for the Packers if they want to bring the Lombardi trophy home. Surely they’ll have some ample opportunity in their next couple of games against Washington, Buffalo, and Detroit. It’s all about finding that consistency and figuring out what is going wrong and when.

There is a plus to it only being Week 7, though; We have almost three months of football left for Green Bay to get it together.

“There’s a lot of football left. We have 11 games left,” says Rodgers. “We obviously have to play better, I think that’s understood by everybody, in all three phases, but there’s definitely no panic.”
