Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers exited the loss against the Eagles with a rib injury. Jordan Love stepped in and showed some promise, but in his weekly podcast appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Rodgers said he received good news with his scans and plans to play this week in Chicago. Not only did he say he expects to play, but he delivered some optimistic statements as well.

Aaron Rodgers Going Forward
It’s clear at this point that Aaron Rodgers has been playing through some pain this year. He is reported to have a fracture in his thumb and exited Sunday night’s game with a rib injury. In his post-game press conference Rodgers mentioned how until the team is mathematically eliminated, he wants to be out there. Tuesday on The Pat McAfee Show he clearly thinks the team still has a shot to make the postseason.
Rodgers also discussed Jordan Love’s performance against the Eagles. He said he had a chance to talk to Love and was proud of how he played.
Confidence Against Chicago
Rodgers has been a menace to Bears fans for his entire career and has a track record of playing well against them. Last year he delivered an all-time great moment when he ran for a touchdown and yelled out “I still own you” towards the Bears fans. If the Packers want to make the playoffs like Aaron thinks they can it all starts with them winning out and that starts with beating the Bears.
