Aaron Rodgers has always been a bit of an odd duck. In the past couple of years, especially news of darkness retreats and ayahuasca sessions have dominated the narrative on Rodgers’ personal life. Because of this, it came as no surprise to anyone how Rodgers spent his final days as a Green Bay Packer, at a Costa Rican healing retreat.

Aaron Rodgers Spends Time At A Costa Rican Healing Retreat
According to various posts on Instagram, the star quarterback and his friend, Aubrey Marcus, a holistic health philosopher, hosted a group of friends for a week-long healing session. Apparently, New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Boyle was also in attendance along with many other notable stars. It was held at the Soltara Healing Center which has places all across Peru and Costa Rica. The ceremonies involve a lot of purging of toxins and time in the darkness and in the jungle. This is the most Aaron Rodgers way of spending his final moments as a Packer.

Done With The Packers
In his press conference yesterday, GM Brian Gutekunst expressed regret of not having contact with Rodgers about the situation. While there are clearly frustrations, the organization is thankful for what Rodgers has done for the team. However, it seems like Rodgers was done with the Packers. He really did not want to have any contact and told his agent to take care of it while he spent time in Costa Rica. He finally gets his wish to go play for another team and it will be interesting to see how the New York media responds to all of these antics.
It is a new era in Green Bay. While I personally will miss Rodgers’ play on the field, I will not miss all of the drama off the field. The Jordan Love era begins and the team now looks to rebuild the team into another championship contender.
