The Green Bay Packers are on the brink of full collapse. After falling to 3-5 the Packers are in “win now” mode every week. The trade deadline came and went without the Packers making a single move. Many Packers fans were irate over the lack of moves. To make matters worse, every other NFC North team was fairly active at the trade deadline. Aaron Rodgers was asked specifically about these moves. This is what he had to say.
Aaron Rodgers Sounds Off On NFC North Trades
The Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles currently sit atop the NFC. Both teams made significant roster moves prior to the deadline. Something you may figure the 3-5 Packers would want to do to get back on the right track… right? Rodgers was asked what he thought about the moves made by his rivals.
“Well, with all due respect to those teams, we’re chasing some other teams right now,” Rodgers said, via PFT. “We’ve got to get back in the hunt. Those teams are out front right now. So I’m worried about our guys that we’ve got in the locker room. . . . Like I said, I know we were in on some guys, and liked a few. But it just didn’t work out.”
Fans may have wanted to see the Packers make some sort of noise before the November 1 deadline. However, Aaron Rodgers seemed content on the surface. Rodgers is ready to put the past behind him and move forward with hopes of making a run at the playoffs during the second half of the NFL season. It has certainly been made clear at 1265 Lombardi Avenue that the Packers will be “rolling with what they got.” Health and consistency will be key for the Packers moving forward. This team certainly has talent, once they put it all together they have more than enough to go on a run.
