Aaron Rodgers has spent the offseason golfing and appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Last week on the show he revealed he would be going on a darkness retreat. However, the likes of Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter reported some information that Rodgers shut down as false.

Aaron Rodgers Clears Up Misconceptions

Aaron Rodgers’ main issue with Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter in this situation was the reporting of when his darkness retreat would take place. Rodgers said today on “The Pat McAfee Show” that his retreat has been planned for four months.
Rodgers made it clear that he has no personal issues with either reporter, but rather with their reporting on his life.
“I have no problems with Ian Rapoport, Schefter, I think they’re really good at their jobs,” Rodgers said. “When it comes to me they don’t know s—. They don’t have people in my inner circle that are sources. I can promise you that.”

He also went on to clear up misconceptions about his darkness retreat.
“I’ve had this planned on the books for four months. When someone like that goes on and says something that’s not true it creates a story that’s bull s—,” Rodgers said. “We did the show last week. I said ‘After the super bowl I’m going to go on my darkness retreat and then I’m probably going to have a better sense of where I’m at in my life. I didn’t say ‘I’m going on my darkness retreat just to figure out if I’m going to play or going to retire.”
Aaron Rodgers Unique Media Relationship
Two off-seasons ago when Rodgers was away from the team there were multiple reports about potential trade requests and reasons for his estrangement from the team. However, when Rodgers returned he pointed out how the media took narratives and ran with them despite not having all the facts.
Rodgers also raised issues with the media when he tested positive for COVID and people felt he misled them in a press conference. Rodgers has been very vocal about his thoughts on the media spreading misleading information or misinformation.
