The Aaron Rodgers trade speculation has been in full swing ever since the Green Bay Packers season ended on January 8th. Those speculations have only grown over the last few days as reports started surfacing about the New York Jets being “on the brink” of trading for the four-time MVP. We have heard rumors and reports from nearly every media outlet on social media. The one person we haven’t heard from is Aaron Rodgers himself, until today that is.
Aaron Rodgers Breaks Silence On Social Media Amid Trade Talk

While it wasn’t much, Aaron Rodgers posted to his Twitter account today for the first time since February 7th:
SULLLLLL. 🤣🤣
— Aaron Rodgers (@AaronRodgers12) March 14, 2023
Just one word “SULLLLL” with a few laughing emojis. This was certainly in response to Green Bay Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas and his antics on Twitter all day today. It all started when Gary Ellerson, a respected sports personality for ESPN Wisconsin, took to Twitter to point out what he believed to be an interesting aspect of the Aaron Rodgers situation.
Just thinking bout all these Jets players asking 12 to come join them in New York on social media. Why aren’t 12 teammates asking him to stay here?
Rasul quickly responded:
Because we have his number . We can actually text him instead of writing it on social media 😂🤷🏾♂️. As our leader he knows how each person on the roster feels about him . https://t.co/DO7GCVsY8A

Rasul Douglas then followed that up with 44 Tweets throughout the day responding to fans who wanted to know if he knew the inside scoop on Aaron Rodgers. Douglas was clearly joking around and having fun all day, however here are some of the memorable ones:
Shit done got serious 👀😂😂

It was officially reported today by Trey Wingo that a deal was “done” between the Jets and Packers for Aaron Rodgers. However, that was later disputed by Ian Rapoport. As we sit today, neither the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets genuinely don’t know what Aaron Rodgers next move is. The legal tampering period started today which allows players to sign with new teams, although it won’t become official until Wednesday. Both the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers are waiting on his decision so they can move forward in free agency and possibly more trades.
