Former Green Bay Packers franchise quarterback and current Pittsburgh Steelers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers has hit another milestone in his legendary football career in the NFL.

During last Sunday’s game between the Steelers and the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Rodgers finally surpassed his former Packers teammate Brett Favre for fourth-most passing touchdowns in the history of the NFL.

Rodgers entered the Patriots game tied with Favre for fourth on the all-time passing touchdowns list with 508 each.

The 41-year-old Rodgers broke his tie with Favre with a scoring toss to DK Metcalf in the second period for his 509th career touchdown pass. He added another touchdown later when he found Calvin Austin III for a 17-yard score in the fourth quarter, as the Steelers came away with a 21-14 win.

Pittsburgh had to earn the win against Drake Maye and the Pats. The Steelers dominated early on, erecting a 14-0 lead by the second quarter, but New England tied the score at 14-14 just four seconds into the final period. After forcing a Patriots fumble on the next drive, Rodgers led a nine-play drive that ended with the aforementioned Rodgers-to-Austin touchdown.

“(At) 14-0 we’re feeling pretty good about ourselves, Rodgers said after the game, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).

“We hadn’t been ahead by two scores yet. I just didn’t play great. We just kind of lost our rhythm, had too many penalties, negative yardage plays and didn’t make them pay when we had opportunities.”

Rodgers finished the Pats game with 139 passing yards and two touchdowns with an interception on a 16-of-23 pass completions.
