Aaron Jones has had a huge impact on the field for the Packers. The impact he has had off the field has been even greater. Since becoming a Packer, Jones has been an active part of the Green Bay community. He was recently nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award and now he is a finalist for another sportsmanship award. Aaron Jones has been named a finalist for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.

Aaron Jones Is A Finalist For The Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award
Only eight players are named as finalists for this award. This award is meant to recognize players who demonstrate the qualities of on-field sportsmanship as well as integrity in competition. The voting is done by the players so winning this award says a lot about what the rest of the league thinks of a certain player. This is the second time that Jones has been nominated as he was on the ballot last year as well.
Is There Any Way Jones Can Stay In Green Bay?
Jones’s contract is set up in a way where the Packers have to cut or do some massive restructuring in order to make it work. The running back position in general is usually one to move on from. However, this is the type of person that the Packers are looking for to be on their team. His impact on the community at large cannot be overstated. The hope is that Jones really wants to stay in Green Bay and the Packers can work on a more team-friendly contract.
It is great to see Aaron Jones being nominated for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship award. The Packers have made a point to draft high-character people. Hopefully, this season isn’t the last we will see of Jones.
