Aaron Jones has been one of the best weapons (if not the best) on the Green Bay Packers offense for years. He has been committed to the Packers ever since he set foot in Green Bay. That was on full display this off-season when he took a pay cut to stay with the team for a seventh season. This off-season has been full of change, headlined by the massive Aaron Rodgers trade.
Aaron Jones Comments On Aaron Rodgers Leaving; It Goes Viral
According to of Total Pro Sports:
One of Aaron Rodgers’ former teammates has implied the Green Bay Packers locker room is moving right along without the new Jets quarterback following his move to New York.
Rodgers has finally left the Packers after years of suggesting he might do so. And, while it took the Jets a lot of negotiating, they were able to get a trade over the line that didn’t cost them much as far as first-rounders go.
Packers running back Aaron Jones recently offered a reaction to Rodgers’ departure and it doesn’t seem like he was moved despite playing alongside the four-time MVP for five seasons. Jones was drafted by Green Bay in 2017 and seems like he would be happy to finish his career there, at least for the time being.
Asked for his thoughts in a recent press conference, he said the following:
“A-Rod doesn’t want to be here, so he’s not going to be here. You’ve got to shift your focus and get ready.”
Aaron Jones Seems Excited To Play With Jordan Love
Jordan Love will be the Packers starting QB next season and will have an opportunity to prove that drafting him was the correct decision. Jones had some high praise for the 24-year-old, talking up his work ethic and confidence in himself.
“He believes in himself, first off,” Jones noted. “That’s No. 1. You’ve got to believe in yourself or nobody else is going to believe in you. He believes in himself, he cares about everybody around him and we’ve seen him just come in consistently and just work, work, work.
“As an athlete, you want to come in and play right away, and that wasn’t Jordan’s case; he didn’t have that opportunity. And he did it the right way, he waited his time and you never heard one peep or complaint out of him. He has everyone’s respect, and he works as well, just like everybody else.”
Meanwhile, the Jets expect to win the Super Bowl after going all out for Rodgers. They have assembled a formidable offense to complement the 39-year-old QB, though it remains to be seen just how well they will do with a new signal-caller commandeering the attack.
Aaron Jones has been approaching this entire off-season the exact right way. He is the epitome of what you want your leader to be in the face of a massive change. Jones has even been working out with Jordan Love this off-season.

Aaron who? No longer in Wisconsin. No longer a Packer. Enough said. Welcome quarterback Love. Great addition to team lineup.
