In the Bucks’ 133-129 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, guard Jrue Holiday was the team’s second-leading scorer with 28 points. The 32-year-old Holiday has tallied 25 or more points in five of the 17 games he’s played this year. If he stays healthy for the remainder of the season, he could make a run at a scoring record for Bucks’ players in their 30’s.

Holiday projects out to 24 games with 25+ points this season. Ricky Pierce in the 1989-90 season at the age of 30, had 25 games for the Bucks that season with 25 or more points. That’s the most games in one season with 25+ points for a Bucks’ player aged 30 or older. A healthy Holiday could challenge that record.

Holiday’s 28 points Friday night (his fifth 25-point game this season) pushed him into ninth place among 30-something players in the NBA this season. Thirty-four-year-old Kevin Durant tops the list with 21 games with 25+ points this year. Fellow 34-year-old Stephen Curry is second with 15 games this season with 25+ points.

Here are the NBA players aged 30 or older who have the most games this year with 25+ points.

    21-Kevin Durant
    15-Steph Curry
    13-DeMar DeRozan
    9-LeBron James
    9-Kyrie Irving
    7-Paul George
    6-Damian Lillard
    6-Bogdan Bogdanovic
    5-Jrue Holiday

Holiday has moved up to fourth place on the Bucks’ career list of most 25+ point games by a player in his 30’s. He now has 26 in a Bucks’ uniform. The Bucks’ career Top 5 in this category:

    52-Sam Cassell
    45-Ricky Pierce
    35-Oscar Robertson
    26-Jrue Holiday
    24-Jack Sikma

The NBA record for most games with 25+ points in a season by a player in his 30’s is 65 by John Havlicek of the Celtics. He had 65 such games in 1970-71 at age 30. Three other players tallied 60 or more games in a season with 25+ points at age 30+: Rick Barry (62 in 1974-75), Alex English (61 in 1985-86) and Allen Iverson (61 in 2005-06).

NBA players with most games with 25+ points in their 30’s

Karl Malone tops the NBA list with most career games with 25+ points after the age of 30. He had 398. Eleven players had 200 or more career games with 25+ points after the age of 30. They are:

    Karl Malone, 398
    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 329
    Alex English, 322
    LeBron James, 313
    Michael Jordan, 256
    Kobe Bryant, 251
    John Havlicek, 240
    Dominique Wilkins, 238
    Jerry West, 231
    Elgin Baylor, 210
    Hakeem Olajuwon, 209
