De’Vondre Campbell – With eight solo tackles, six assists, one tackle for loss, and one pass deflection, De’Vontre Campbell was everywhere Sunday, including where he needed to be on the most crucial play of the game. His solo pass deflection came during a 2-point conversion attempt that would have tied the game and potentially sent the match into overtime. Tom Brady isn’t a quarterback you want to test in overtime. De’Vondre, on what may have been the most critical play in the first quarter, blew up a screen pass resulting in a loss of yards and a change in momentum. Brady started the game strong going 8 for 8.
Romeo Doubs – 4th round pick out of Nevada, Doubs, showed signs of things to come Sunday. He was targeted by Rodgers eight times and ended the day with eight completions. If the Packers threw the ball in the direction of Doubs, it got caught. With injuries to Christian Watson, Doubs played 55 snaps, up from 25 snaps a week ago, and was in for 89% of the offensive plays. Doubs caught several short cross routes he turned into 1st downs. He ran crisp, precise routes Sunday, showed good hands, and exceeded expectations for the 22-year-old rookie.
Keisean Nixon – Nixon has made a career as a special teams player, but on Sunday, due to an injury to Jaire Alexander played 88% of the defensive snaps. Keisean Nixon had his first career forced fumble to end a potential scoring drive in the 2nd quarter. Along with the fumble, Nixon finished the day with six solo tackles and an assist. He also had pretty pass defenses, impressive coverage, and superb special teams play. Before Sunday, Nixon had 38 career tackles in 3 years with the Raiders.
Robert Tonyan – finished the game with six receptions on seven passes. The six receptions are his highest tally since week 4 of 2020. When Rodgers checked down, Tonyan was available. Tonyan exhibited his value by adding some big blocks in the pass and run game. He’s a guy this team missed last year. If he can stay healthy and the team manages his reps, he’s invaluable to the Packer’s playoff potential. Not every catch resulted in a first down, but by being available, he prevented multiple coverage sacks and forced errors.

Losers
Packer’s Secondary
Tampa Bay was without Mike Evens, Chris Godwin, and Julio Jones, but the way the secondary played Russell Gage and Breshad Perriman, you wouldn’t have noticed these were second-string guys. Tampa’s receivers were able to create separation consistently. This one could have got messy if the Packer’s defensive line hadn’t stepped up. Fortunately, Brady wasn’t given time in the pocket, and this one didn’t get out of hand.
AJ Dillon & Aaron Jones – I love both of these guys, and at times they looked fantastic, but neither was able to break away for a big run or create broken tackles. Aaron Jones had a costly fumble at the end of the 1st half resulting in the Packers missing 7 points and would have led to Tampa Bay points, but the Packers had a takeaway on an excellent fumble recovery by Savage.
Up next, the Packers play the 1-2 Patriots at 4:30 eastern time on Sunday.
