The Green Bay Packers had one player voted as a First-Team All-Pro: return specialist Keisean Nixon. Jaire Alexander was voted Second Team All-Pro for the second time in his career. These honors were voted on by the Associated Press. In a new development this season, the NFL Players Association created their own, players-voted All-Pro team. “For too long, we have allowed everyone else to define the best of us as players. That ends now,” the NFLPA said in a statement. “We asked players across the league to select who had the most impact this season. The players were tasked with voting for the best player at their same position and positions they line up against.” Four Packers players finished in the top five of the player-voted All-Pro Team.
Kick Returner: Keisean Nixon (second)
Just as Cordarrelle Patterson was chosen to the Pro Bowl over Keisean Nixon, so too the players voted him over Nixon on their All-Pro vote. Nixon led the NFL in kick returns (35), kick return yards (1,009), and return touchdowns (one). Amazingly, he did this as the Packers kick returner for just half of a season.
Left Guard: Elgton Jenkins (fifth)
Elgton Jenkins was just named to the Pro Bowl after Philadelphia Eagles’ Landon Dickenson withdrew due to playing in the Super Bowl. Jenkins was voted as the fifth-best left guard in the NFL by his peers. What is especially amazing about this is that he played at such a high level a season after tearing his ACL. The Packers signed him to a lucrative extension this past season, ensuring that he will be in Green Bay for years to come.
Cornerback: Jaire Alexander (third)
As mentioned, Alexander was named Second-Team All-Pro and made the Pro Bowl for the second time in his career. He had a career-high five interceptions in 2022 and ranked in the NFL’s top 10 in passes defended (14). Opposing quarterbacks had just a 63.7 passer rating when targeting Alexander, the lowest mark of his career.
Nose Tackle: Kenny Clark (second)
This may be surprising to some, even Kenny Clark himself who admitted he needs to be more consistent in 2023. The Packers defense may have struggled against the run in 2022, but Clark’s peers obviously think very highly of his game. Clark finished the season with 53 tackles, 4.0 sacks, and a forced fumble.
