The 2022 season did not end the way fans or the Packers organization had hoped. However, even in a down year fans were able to see some Packers players move up in the Packers’ history books.
Randall Cobb Moved to No.5 in Franchise Receptions
Randall Cobb, a fan favorite, is no longer the player he once was. However, his chemistry with Aaron Rodgers has kept him in the fold as a reliable target. In 2022 Randall Cobb was primarily a veteran presence in the wide receiver room. Cobb finished the year with 34 receptions, 417 yards and a lone touchdown. Despite, average numbers, Cobb was able to move into the top five for receptions in Packers history. He passed James Lofton’s mark of 530 receptions. Cobb now has 532 receptions in a Packers uniform.
Aaron Jones Moved to No.3 on the Franchise Rushing List
Ever since Aaron Jones got to Green Bay he has brought a different dynamic to the position. Jones’ tough running style and balance give him the ability to turn any play into a big gain. Jones rushed for 1,121 yards in 2022, a career-high. It was enough to move him up to number three on the Packers’ all-time rushing yards list. At 5,284 yards, he is now behind just Jim Taylor and Ahman Green.
Mason Crosby Sets Franchise Record for Consecutive Games Played
Mason Crosby broke a record that many fans thought would stand forever. Mason Crosby broke Brett Favre’s record of 255 consecutive games played as a Packer. Crosby played his 256th game against the Dolphins in week 16 on Christmas day, breaking the record. He would finish the year playing his 258th consecutive game. Crosby has expressed his desire to keep playing, so there is a chance the streak continues.
