3 NFL Teams Who Need A Complete Overhaul In 2026 (Full Report)

The NFL never stands still, and after another wild 2025 season, a handful of franchises are staring at the harsh reality of needing a full reset. Whether that means new coaches, roster gutting, or front-office changes.

Here are three NFL teams that look primed for major overhauls heading into 2026, starting with the constant mess in the Big Apple.

3 NFL Teams Desperately Needing a Complete Overhaul in 2026

First up, the New York Jets. This NFL franchise has become synonymous with dysfunction (10 straight seasons of a sub .500 record). After yet another disappointing year, the team made the decision to trade away cornerstone players in Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams at the deadline.  They’re left with massive cap space (projected $111 million) an a ton of draft picks (6 first round picks in the next 3 years) that they’re hoping will cash-in like sweepstakes casinos in New York.

The quarterback carousel spins on; Justin Fields flopped, and they’re eyeing another first-rounder. Ownership meddling, coaching instability, and a culture of losing mean everything needs tearing down. Jets fans deserve better than this endless cycle in one of the NFL’s biggest markets.1

The Cleveland Browns Need To Finally Figure It Out

Next, the Cleveland Browns can’t seem to escape their own shadow. Deshaun Watson’s insane contract continues impacting the cap, the offensive line fell short of expectations with key free agents departing.  The bright spot is the defense.  Led by Myles Garrett, they have allowed the second fewest yards per game this season (277.8).

The offense will need to figure out how to field a competitive team.  Will Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, or even Deshaun Watson step up for the franchise?  Or will Cleveland be drafting another quarterback in the top ten?

Everything Backfired For The Las Vegas Raiders

Finally, the Las Vegas Raiders are overdue for a clean slate. Antonio Pierce’s coaching tenure left the team in disarray that not even the legendary Pete Carroll could turn around.  Currently Las Vegas (2-13) have the second overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

With Geno Smith underperforming in his first season with the Raiders, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that the team tries to find their quarterback of the future in next year’s draft.

These three NFL squads highlight how quickly things unravel without bold moves. The 2026 offseason could be pivotal.  Making the right hire or drafting the right player could change the entire direction of your franchise.
