The wait is finally over as opening day for the Milwaukee Brewers and all other 29 clubs is finally here.  Prior to the Brew Crew and Chicago Cubs squaring off for game one of 162, three players addressed the media.  Those players were Willy Adames, Corbin Burnes, and Luke Voit.

Here are all three press conferences.

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames addresses the media prior to opening day.

Willy Adames talked a lot about the importance of being a premium shortstop in the league and what is expected of him both on the field and in the clubhouse.  He discussed how he has to turn off all of the outside noise the second he shows up to work and has to put a smile on his face for himself and his teammates.

Milwaukee Brewers ace Corbin Burnes addresses the media prior to opening day.

“Body wise, health wise, everything feels great. That’s the main key coming out of camp.”

Corbin Burnes talked about putting missing the playoffs last year behind him and focusing on this year.  He also made comments regarding going out and playing hard as well as controlling what you can control.  At this time he specifically says you can’t worry about what’s going to happen mid-season or at the end of the season.

Coming off a freshly signed Major League contract, Luke Voit talked about why he chose the Milwaukee Brewers.  He also indicates that he expects great things from this offense that has a very balanced lineup.  In his words to describe the offense “we’re gonna rake”.
