The Shrine Bowl was held in January this year and it is only just now that it was revealed that the Green Bay Packers talked to Michigan Wolverines standout Kenneth Grant, trigger excitement from their fans.

Jacob Westendorf of Sports Illustrated confirmed on X that the Packers connected with the defensive tackle around three months ago. The NFL 2025 Draft will take place this weekend.

Grant has been on many Packers fans’ wishlist since the 2024 season ended. Some analysts even think they would be a great match.

Just did a four-round mock draft for all 32 teams using team needs from PFF and the consensus big board as a guide.

Green Bay Packers will be lucky to have Kenneth Grant
Lucky is one word to describe the probability of Packers landing the 21-year-old defensive tackle.
First, it is because he is a projected top 10 pick. The Packers can only select at 23rd.
Second, Grant is a quality player that can contribute right away. General manager Brian Gutekunst already expressed skepticism about a rookie earning some burn time in the regular season but Grant might be a different case.

According to scouts, he is NFL ready.
SB Nation’s Maxwell Owens described him as someone with the ideal body type for a defensive tackle who has “massive lower and upper body; completely filled out frame.” The best part about him is that he is only 21 years old even if he spent three seasons with Michigan.
He wrote:
“You’re betting on something you haven’t seen at a consistent level yet from Grant. That’s a scary proclamation. He’s only 21 years old, so there’s time for him to get better if you’re selling yourself on his prospect profile.”
Is Grant a perfect player for Packers? What do you think?
