The Boston University Terrier Classic will take place from Jan. 27-28. Two former Wisconsin Badgers, Morgan McDonald and Ollie Hoare, will be competing in the 5,000-meter race.
Both Hoare and McDonald grew up in Australia, earning multiple national titles during their time in high school. The two developed a friendship and chose to continue to pursue their running goals at the University of Wisconsin.
McDonald and Hoare, were teammates at Wisconsin from 2016-2019. Their success from high school carried over to the collegiate level, as they both won NCAA titles. McDonald won the 2018 NCAA cross country championship, the 2019 indoor and outdoor 5k titles, and the indoor 3k title. Hoare won the 2018 outdoor 1500-meter championship.
After college, the former Badgers continued their running careers at the pro level and signed with On Athletics Club (OAC).
