Players to Watch For on the Iowa Hawkeyes Against the Wisconsin Badgers
Fran McCaffrey is the head coach of the Hawkeyes. Iowa has not been as great this year as they have been over the past couple of seasons in the BIG10 Conference. The Iowa Hawkeyes have a 14-11 overall record and a 6-8 conference record.
They are in a three-way tie for 10th place in the conference with the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Maryland Terrapins. Iowa lost their last game at Maryland on Wednesday by a final score of 78-66.
Only two players scored in double figures in that game for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Payton Sandfort led the way for Iowa with 19 points, five rebounds, and recorded three assists. Ben Krikke also added 11 points for Iowa against Maryland.
The Badgers must play with energy on both ends of the floor from start to finish. They will have to be better than Iowa in the rebounding department. This is a game where Max Klesmit needs to get back on track because he is a vital part of the offense. As long as they play with that energy from the opening tip-off, they will be the better team than the Hawkeyes.
