The 2023 NFL offseason is almost upon us and the Green Bay Packers are going to be one of the more intriguing teams to keep an eye on. Obviously, the first question that needs to be answered by the franchise is the direction that they are headed at the quarterback position. Are they going to trade Aaron Rodgers and move on with Jordan Love or run it back for one more season?
Many believe that Rodgers will be on his way out of town via a trade this offseason. Others think that he will simply hang up the cleats and retire. Very few believe that the Packers and Rodgers will play another season together.
It has been reported that the Packers would prefer to move on with Love as the starter and that Rodgers knows where the franchise currently stands on the situation.
With that in mind, there are quite a few teams who have come up as potential trade destinations. Among them are the New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders, and even the Miami Dolphins.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at two dark-horse teams who could end up making a play to acquire Rodgers from the Packers this offseason.
Two Dark-Horse Aaron Rodgers Trade Destinations
Seattle Seahawks
First up on the list, the Seahawks could be a perfect trade destination for Rodgers. Granted, there have been reports that Green Bay would not trade Rodgers to an NFC team, but this one would make sense.
Seattle ended up working their way into the playoffs this season after trading Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos in the offseason. Geno Smith put together a solid season, but he is far from being a superstar. Replacing him with Rodgers would make the Seahawks a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Rodgers would also likely enjoy a trade to the Seahawks. He would be given two elite targets in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and a growing star running back in Kenneth Walker.
What would it take to acquire Aaron Rodgers? Well, the reported asking price is at least two first-round picks. Seattle has plenty of draft capital to trade to make a deal work.
The Seahawks are an unlikely trade scenario due to playing in the NFC, but they’re a team to watch. If they’re willing to get aggressive to make it happen, they could come up with a trade offer that makes the Packers think.

Tennessee Titans
As for the second dark-horse team to watch, we move to the AFC South. Last offseason, there were rumblings that the Titans could consider trading for Aaron Rodgers. They haven’t been talked about much heading into this offseason, but there is no question that they could use an upgrade at the quarterback position.
Ryan Tannehill is set to hit NFL free agency and Malik Willis has done nothing to prove that he can be a long-term option at quarterback. Another year or two of development on the sidelines would be best for Willis.
If the Titans want to get aggressive to keep their contention window open, Rodgers could be the guy. They still have Derrick Henry and have an up-and-coming wideout in Treylon Burks. Tennessee is a team that could seriously compete in the AFC with a quarterback like Rodgers leading the way.
Add in the fact that the Titans are an AFC team and things get even more plausible. The Titans would have to come up with a trade package that would intriguing the Packers enough, but the No. 11 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft would be a good starting point.
Aaron Rodgers should be a player that any fringe contender with a quarterback need looks at. The Titans fit into that category and are certainly a team to keep an eye on heading into the offseason.
