The #11 Wisconsin Badgers are currently on a three-game losing streak and they will look to end it on Saturday when they go on the road and face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The game will tip off at 11 a.m. CT. The Badgers are in must-win territory and they need to win in order to gain their confidence back.
Wisconsin will have to outhustle and outrebound Rutgers because that is where they have lost the game the last couple of times. The Badgers offense has been fine, but it’s the defense that has been the problem over this stretch.
When the Wisconsin Badgers lost to the Michigan Wolverines on Wednesday 72-68, Greg Gard’s team had four players score in double figures. AJ Storr led the way with 20 points. Chucky Hepburn scored 17 points, Tyler Wahl scored 12 points, and Max Klesmit also scored 10 points for the Badgers.
Wisconsin has a 16-7 overall record this season and a 8-4 BIG10 Conference record. They are currently in third place in the conference.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights Players To Watch For Against the Wisconsin Badgers
In the Rutgers Scarlet Knights’s last game, they beat the Maryland Terrapins 56-53 on the road. Steve Pikiell is the head coach of this basketball team. Rutgers is 12th currently in the BIG10 Conference with a 4-7 record, and they are 12-10 overall on the season.
Only two players for Rutgers scored in double figures against Maryland. Mawot Mag scored 15 points and grabbed three rebounds. Jeremiah Williams also scored 14 points for the Scarlet Knights against the Terrapins.
This is the second straight game that the Wisconsin Badgers will be playing one of the worst teams in the BIG10 Conference. For some reason, Wisconsin likes to play down to their opponents and they need to stop doing that. To gain their confidence back, they will need to win by double digits against Rutgers. If they don’t win again, Greg Gard’s name will be called out by this fanbase.
